What You'll Do Take full ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks Bring our books up to date and maintain accurate financial records going forward Manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online Reconcile credit card and other financial accounts Reconcile transactions and identify discrepancies Work extensively with Shopify and ensure Shopify transactions are properly reflected in the books Assist with inventory-related bookkeeping and reconciliation Monitor financial records and ensure transactions are properly categorized Assist with sales tax calculations, filings, and remittance where applicable Help prepare accurate financial information ahead of tax deadlines Identify bookkeeping issues proactively and recommend solutions Maintain organized documentation and financial records Work independently and investigate questions/issues before escalating them Communicate financial information clearly and flag anything that requires attention Requirements What We're Looking For Exceptional Communication You must have excellent written and spoken English and be highly responsive. Independent & Proactive You should be comfortable taking ownership of the books without constant supervision.
