Carrier Sourcing Representative
About the job ARS Logistics (Authorized Agent of Trinity Logistics) is a family owned and operated Third Party Logistics company with 20+ years of history. We are proud of what we have built through strong and lasting relationships with our customers and team members. ARS moves freight across all modes for our customers — Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Drayage, Ocean and Air. Our customers count on us for consistent capacity on the lanes they ship every week, not just whoever happens to be posted on a load board that morning. We are hiring a dedicated Carrier Sourcing Representative whose whole job is building that capacity: calling carriers, learning their lanes and equipment, and lining up committed trucks on our regular and hard-to-cover lanes weeks before the freight moves. This is an outbound, phone-first role. You will own a set of target lanes, build a bench of vetted carriers on each one, and hand our operations and account teams capacity they can sell and book — so we cover on time, buy at or below market, and rely less on the spot board. Success is measured in carriers added, lanes with committed capacity, and loads covered by relationship carriers. Start date: ASAP Why you’ll like working here A focused job — sourcing and relationships, not dispatch and paperwork. Results you can see — lanes that used to be a daily scramble become routine because of the carriers you found. Collaborative team — you work side by side with our operations, customer service and sales teams, who value open communication and follow-through. Structured upward mobility — a clear growth path as the carrier team expands (senior sourcing, carrier team lead). What you’ll do Make high-volume outbound calls and emails to carriers, dispatchers and owner-operators to source capacity on assigned lanes — regular weekly lanes, capacity-constrained lanes, and new lanes from customer bids. Build and maintain a carrier bench for every target lane: preferred lanes, equipment, trucks per week, rate expectations and contacts, kept current in our CRM / TMS. Secure capacity and rate commitments weeks ahead, then hand them to operations and account managers so the capacity can be presold to customers and booked on the right dates. Find capacity that never reaches a load board — asset carriers’ headhaul and backhaul lanes, small fleets with consistent routes, and dedicated or recurring-lane programs. Vet every new carrier before it is offered freight: operating authority, insurance, safety...
